Privacy Policy

The app does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There is no account, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything the app stores stays on your device.

This website has one exception: if you type your address into the launch-notification form, we hold it so we can tell you when Pavane ships. That is described in full below.

Who we are

Pavane is an iOS application developed by Sirang Kang, an independent developer. You can reach us at support@pavaneapp.com.

What Pavane stores

To function as an alarm, Pavane saves a small amount of information on your device:

Your alarm times and their on/off state
Your sound and wake-intensity preferences
Basic app settings

This data is written to your device's local storage. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read it.

What Pavane does not do

It does not ask you to create an account or provide an email address. (The mailing list described below lives on this website, not in the app.)
It does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or crash telemetry.
It does not contain advertising or advertising identifiers.
It does not track you across apps or websites.
It does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or location.
It does not read or write Health data.

Notifications

Pavane asks for permission to send notifications so your alarm can reach you. Notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS. No notification content is sent through our servers, because we do not operate any.

Audio

All music in Pavane ships inside the app and plays from your device. The app does not stream audio and does not require an internet connection to work.

The launch mailing list on this website

The form on the home page is the only place Pavane asks you for anything. It is entirely optional, and the app itself never asks.

What we collect: your email address, and the date you signed up. Nothing else. We do not ask for your name.
Why: to send you one announcement when Pavane is released on the App Store. We do not sell, rent, or share the list.
Legal basis (GDPR): your consent, given when you submit the form and confirm it by clicking the link in the follow-up email. Signing up takes two deliberate steps, so nobody can add you to the list but you.
Who processes it: Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), an email service based in the United States, acting as our processor. Your address is stored on their servers under their privacy policy. It is not stored anywhere else.
How long: until you unsubscribe, or until twelve months after the launch email goes out, whichever comes first. After that the list is deleted.
Leaving: every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough. You can also write to support@pavaneapp.com and we will remove you.
Your rights: you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased, at that same address.

Kit sets a cookie on its own hosted pages. The Pavane website itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts. Submitting the form sends you to Kit; simply reading this site sends them nothing.

Children

Pavane is not directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal data at all, so no data about children is gathered by it. The mailing list is not aimed at children either; if you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the address.

Data deletion

Deleting Pavane from your device removes everything it stored. No data from the app ever leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to send us. If you joined the mailing list, that address is separate: unsubscribe, or ask us, and it is gone.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Pavane changes how it handles data, we will update this page and change the date above before that version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
